The Visits page in MIPSpro allows you to add patient and visit information. We recommend this method for manual data entry.
If you prefer, you can add patient information separately via the Patients page and visit information through the Visits page.
1. Click Begin or Continue in the Quality row of your dashboard:
2. Click Data Entry.
3. Click Visits in the Visits row.
4. Click Add Visit.
5. Enter a Patient Identifier. Patient IDs should be non-identifiable. They can be any choice of numbers and letters.
6. Click Add Patient.
7. Update the Patient Record page by completing the Date of Birth and Gender fields. The remaining fields are optional.
8. Click Save.
9. Enter the Date of Service. Visit NPI, Primary Payer, Secondary Payer, and Codes for Visit are optional fields.
10. Check the box next to each applicable measure. You can also select Activate All Measures if the patient is eligible for all measures.
11. Answer the Yes and No questions for each selected measure. The measure status will display as Complete when you’ve answered all questions.
- Some questions are look-back questions and pull data from past years (question Nos. 2 and 4 for Measure 47 in the screenshot below). You won’t be able to answer these questions as they are greyed out. Proceed to the next question.
12. Select an option to continue.
- Click Save and Review to review the information.

Click Save and Add New Visit to add another visit.
- Select Use Same Patient to add another visit for the same patient.
